Let’s make this about me…
I’m Joe Bowen, I’m a Pittsburgh kid and a graduate of Woody High—IYKYK, and IUP. As a kid, I’ve always wanted to travel. Growing up I swore I would move to Florida someday. While that is still not out of the question, life did have other plans. I’ve found myself in the great Pacific Northwest! But this story starts long before that…
Shortly after college I started exploring bike trails around Pittsburgh with buddies of mine. This lead to discovering some pretty cool places in the parks and along the trails scattered about the Greater Pittsburgh Area. I started off capturing moments with just my iPhone. Once I realized how much I enjoyed photography I decided to buy my first camera, a Sony A5100 mirrorless camera to be exact. It was just a couple of years spent figuring out the basics and watching tons of YouTube content on editing until I was ready to upgrade. So, I started my research.
The more I learned about photography the more I wanted to expand my skills. Growing up I loved watching movies and making videos with my friends. Getting into photography helped me to rediscover this passion. Ready to continue growing my skillset I started watching more and more videos about videography as well. This all made my choice for the next camera I wanted that much clearer. Just this year I purchased the Sony A7III bundled with many accessories and the DJI Ronin SC.
I moved to the Pacific Northwest for work, but found an environment to inspire and fuel my passions. The result?
